Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data scitun.com collects, why, and what rights you have. It covers this website only. Each iElect product has its own privacy notice.
Who we are
SciTun Technologies Ltd (RC 9416492) is the controller of personal data collected through this website. We have offices in Abuja and Northampton. Contact us about privacy at info@scitun.com.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, and any organisation, country and message you choose to give.
- Technical data. Our servers keep standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Spam protection. The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes limited device and browser signals to tell people from bots.
Why we use it
We use your contact details only to reply to your message and to keep a record of our correspondence. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in running a secure website. We do not sell personal data or use it for marketing without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this site: our hosting provider, Postmark to deliver email, and Cloudflare for spam protection. They process data on our instructions only. Some of these providers are outside Nigeria and the United Kingdom; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages for up to two years after our last exchange, unless we need them longer for a legal reason. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email info@scitun.com and we will respond within one month.
You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of this page.
