About SciTun Technologies
We build the infrastructure that makes election results believable.
SciTun Technologies is an election technology company and the parent of iElect. We work with the institutions, parties and citizens who make elections happen, so that every result can be checked and every eligible citizen can take part.
Mission
To make elections across Africa transparent, verifiable and open to every citizen, by building the technology that democratic institutions and the people they serve can trust.
An election is only as credible as its weakest polling unit. A result sheet that can’t be checked, an agent who can’t send it, a voter who never heard the facts: each one chips away at trust in the outcome.
We started with the hardest part, getting results from the polling unit to the final tally with a trail anyone can follow. From there we are building outward: tools for situation rooms, citizen observers, civic education and party administration.
